1. Taoist healing secrets: as above, so below
In the Tao, the human body is seen as a microcosm or a miniature version of the Universe. Whatever happens «up there», happens «down here».

Or as ancient Taoist Masters said: «As above, so below»

For example, the axis of the heart is tilted at an angle to the body axis, similar to the tilt of the Earth towards the Pole Star

At the core of ancient Taoist healing practices lies the idea of holistic harmony and realignment of the body with the Universe and the Cosmos. In the Tao, we believe that all kinds of sickness and malaise come from human disconnection from the universal forces. Once we realign and reconnect our body, mind and spirit with the Universe, Heaven and Mother Earth, we can restore balance and harmony, and reclaim our health and wellness.

Taoist art of healing others through balancing, harmonizing and realigning their bodies with the universal forces is called the Cosmic Healing. This millenia-old art incorporates meditation, visualization, and energy work.

As Cosmic Healing practitioners, we are actually able to direct Qi, the life-force, with the mind-eye-heart power, channel it through our bodies and project on distance to other people. As we train, our hands get gradually more and more sensitized to the feeling and movement of Qi.

We learn how to absorb cosmic Qi into the palms and crown, and to send it out through the hands and beyond, so that we can help restore balance in others without touching them or draining ourselves. We learn how to let go of the sick and toxic energy to the Earth and the trees. This practice also helps us transform negative emotions into positive, usable energy.

2. Energy and Sickness Diagnosis through Qigong: aural hand scanning
Hand scanning is a simple and effective diagnostic tool in Taoist healing. It involves passing your palm over the body of another person from one inch to one foot above the surface of the skin, and being aware of the energetic state of the various bodily areas.
What one senses is described as the electromagnetic field, the aura or the energy body. The variations you may sense with scanning that have diagnostic significance are: temperature, thickness, wind, energy peaks and valleys (mountains or hills in the aural landscape), tingling.
Each organ emits a different kind of force or aura through the skin. By passing a hand one or two inches above the skin, you can feel different sensations that reflect the condition or state of the internal organs.
You can develop the sensitivity to receive and identify the vibration or frequency of each organ. Practicing Cosmic Healing Qigong will help you develop such sensitivity.
Here are some examples how different organ energies may feel:
✔️ Healthy liver and gallbladder energy feels warm. When passing your hand over the liver, you may feel a charged energy come up to your hand. This is a sign of anger in the liver. If you feel a rush of hot energy, this indicates that the liver is overheating because of toxins or emotional stress. If you feel a dense and hot energy, the liver is weak, congested and sick.
✔️ Healthy lung energy feels cool and dry. When you do hand scanning, sadness in the lungs will feel like a deflating ball pressed between your hands. Energy that feels dry and hot indicates an overworked organ. Energy that feels damp and cool indicates underactive or congested lungs that can lead to respiratory problems.
✔️ Healthy heart energy feels warm and energetic. Hot and charged energy indicates impatience, hastiness and arrogance in the heart. If your hand detects hot and overly expansive energy, this indicates that the heart and blood may be overheating. Energy that feels cool and less expansive indicates an underactive or congested heart.
✔️ Healthy spleen energy feels lukewarm. Energy that feels damp and sinking indicates excessive worry and anxiety. Energy that feels hot and damp means that the spleen is overactive. If energy feels cool and damp, the spleen is underactive or congested.
✔️ Healthy kidney energy feels cold, but not too cold. Energy that feels very cold and chilly indicates fear. When the kidneys are overworked or overstimulated, the energy can feel damp, stuck and hot. When toxins are blocking the kidneys, the energy can feel damp and cold.
Hand scanning is an art, and may take a while for you to feel confident using it. Practicing Cosmic Healing is one of the best ways to develop greater skill in hand scanning, sensitize your hands to the movements of Qi and project it for healing.
3. Do you know how different colors work for energy healing?
In Taoist Cosmic Healing practice we use Qi of different colors, as each color plays a particular role and has specific properties that facilitate healing work. Let’s look at the characteristics attributed to each color.
✔️ Green Qi is perfect for cleansing and detoxifying the cells. It breaks down dirty or diseased energy and can flush out diseased material. This color is vitally important because the cells must be clean for healing. Green color works as a decongestant for diseased parts, like a detergent used for washing clothes or dishes. It is always mild and safe to use.
Afterwards, the cells can be rinsed with Blue Light, like clean water is used to rinse the detergent and residue from clothes or dishes.
✔️ Blue Qi feels like cold water: it has the Yin power to dissolve all kinds of negative energy, toxicity and sickness. Blue also has a cooling effect. It can reduce pain and inflammation, and it can help blood clot. It stops bleeding and reduces fever. It can help to induce rest and sleep.
✔️ Violet Qi has the properties of all the other colors. It can be used for severe types of sickness, as it holds the highest healing energy and has its own intelligence. Violet Light has a rapid regenerating effect on damaged organs and nerves. Usually, we use Green and Blue lights before using the Violet Light. When the cells are clean they will absorb and hold the Violet light and the healing will take place.
✔️ White Light has a calming effect. It also redirects Qi to areas of the body which need it. It is safe to use the White Light when you are unsure which light to operate. It is also possible to blend the white and colored Qi together in your healing work.
✔️ Because of its ability to open blood vessels and air tubes, the Red Qi is perfect for healing people with heart or breathing problems. Red Qi feels warm and expansive. It enhances blood circulation, and can strengthen any particular area. It also helps get rid of fatigue or weakness, providing more energy to your body cells. In Cosmic Healing we combine Red Light with Blue and Green and never use it on its own.
✔️ Yellow Qi has a close connection to the nerves, bones, and bone marrow. It also has a connection with Spleen energy and possesses a repairing quality. Yellow color is beneficial in the treatment of nerves, as it promotes regrowth. It also helps in the repair of fractures. It is good for the health of bones, tissues and internal organs.
In Cosmic Healing a practitioner directs colored Qi with his or her mind-eye power, and projects it through hands and fingertips to another person for healing. When it becomes necessary to switch from one color to another, an abrupt shaking movement of the hand should ensure a smooth transition to a new color.
