Dear members of the ISACA Germany Chapter,
I would like to inform you that I have been appointed to the International Board of Directors of ISACA. I do this with a laughing and a crying eye.
On one hand, the new role fills me with pride and anticipation, as it gives me the opportunity to represent the interests and perspectives of our members at a global level and to play a direct role in shaping the strategy of the umbrella organisation. At the same time, however, it also means that I have to resign from my position as President of the ISACA Germany Chapter e. V. For formal reasons, it is unfortunately not possible to fulfil both functions at the same time.
It is with great regret that I am taking this step, as the voluntary work in the chapter has always been a matter close to my heart and has given me a great deal of pleasure. I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the many joint projects, discussions and successes over the past few years.
Until a new president is elected at an extraordinary general meeting, Julia Hermann will take over the office on an interim basis. I am convinced that the chapter is in the best hands with her and the entire Executive Board team and wish them every success in the tasks ahead and continued enthusiasm for our shared mission.
