| | New ISACA resource: EU Regulatory Mapping Guide How do ISACA certifications, training programmes and frameworks align with current regulatory requirements in Europe?
ISACA’s new EU Regulatory Mapping Guide provides a concise overview and demonstrates how ISACA’s offerings can help organisations build the necessary capabilities in the areas of governance, cybersecurity, privacy and digital trust. Key EU regulations covered include the AI Act, NIS2, DORA, the Cyber Resilience Act and the GDPR.
Various programmes offered by the ISACA Germany Chapter also address key themes of these regulations. Of particular note are: The guide thus complements ISACA’s international offerings by providing helpful guidance on which of our chapter’s training programmes align thematically with current regulatory requirements.

| | European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF): ISACA qualifications within the European skills framework With the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF), ENISA has created a common European reference framework for cybersecurity roles and the skills required for them. It helps organisations to define the skills they need and provides professionals with guidance on career and development paths.
Of particular interest to members of the ISACA Germany Chapter is the fact that both internationally recognised ISACA certifications and the certificate programmes offered by the Chapter cover many of the competence profiles described in the ECSF.
The following programmes are particularly worth highlighting:
- ‘Cyber Security Grundlagen’ and ‘Cyber Security Practitioner’ impart the essential fundamentals and best practices of cyber security and, in particular, support the ECSF profiles ‘Cyber Security Educator’ and ‘Cyber Security Implementor’.
- ‘IT Risk Practitioner’ and ‘IT Regulatory Assurance Manager’ deal in depth with IT risk management, governance and regulatory requirements and are an excellent fit for the ECSF profile ‘Cyber Security Risk Manager’.
- The Cyber Security Expert course provides in-depth knowledge on the detection, analysis and management of cyber attacks, thereby supporting, in particular, the ECSF profile ‘Cyber Incident Responder’.
Furthermore, established ISACA certifications such as CISA, CISM and CRISC provide internationally recognised proof of competence in audit, information security, governance and risk management, and are becoming increasingly important from a strategic perspective in the context of the ECSF. |
| | Research survey on COBIT 2019 and IT governance As part of his Master’s thesis at Antwerp Management School, Timothy Wildemeersch, under the supervision of Prof. Dr Yuri Bobbert, is investigating how current influencing factors affect the relevance of the COBIT 2019 Governance and Management Objectives in organisations with federated application management services.
For this empirical study, experienced specialists and managers from the fields of IT governance, IT management, service delivery and enterprise architecture are sought. The survey is anonymous, takes around 10–15 minutes to complete and remains open until 30 August 2026.
By taking part, you will be supporting a research study directly related to COBIT® 2019 and contributing to the further development of insights into the practical application of the framework.
