Dear All,

Matthias Kraft, Board Member for Specialist Groups, will be stepping down from his position on 30 September 2025 for personal reasons.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks for his many years of dedicated service on the Board. With his energy, ideas and commitment, he has had a significant impact on and further developed the professional group work of our chapter. We are therefore all the more delighted that he will remain associated with us in the future – as part of the management team of the Innovation & TechTalk professional group and as a lecturer for the ITRAM training and cyber courses.

On 21 July, we informed you that our Chapter President had been appointed to the international Board of Directors of ISACA and had to step down as President of ISACA Germany Chapter e. V. Julia Hermann has taken over the role on an interim basis until a new President is elected.

In accordance with the statutes, the board has now decided that no extraordinary general meeting will be held.

The election of the new chapter board will take place at the next ordinary general meeting on 29 June 2026

PUBLICATIONS
‘Security use cases - a catalogue’ guide from the Cyber Security specialist group

The guide
Security Use-Cases - a catalogue’ from our Cyber Security specialist group offers a system-independent and practice-oriented catalogue of 42 security use-cases for the effective monitoring and detection of security-relevant events.
It is aimed at auditors, CISOs, compliance officers, risk managers and security professionals and supports small and medium-sized organisations in particular in implementing practical cyber defence measures to increase IT and OT security.
The catalogue promotes the implementation of use cases through a risk-based approach and provides templates for documentation and reporting. This helps organisations to set up the implemented measures in a structured manner and to present them to auditors and supervisory authorities in a transparent and comprehensible manner, which is essential for compliance with NIS-2 and DORA.

You can download the guide from our website here.

Blog post by Dr Tim Sattler

We would like to draw your attention to a very readable blog post by our former President Dr Tim Sattler:
How ISACA Is Building the Next Generation of Leaders.

It highlights how ISACA is developing targeted programmes - e.g. in local chapters, through the Chair's Fellowship Programme and through leadership training - so that we can all grow not only professionally, but also in leadership roles.

For anyone thinking about getting more involved with ISACA or taking the next step in their membership, the article provides plenty of inspiration. Click here for the article.
