Dear members of the ISACA Germany Chapter,
At this festive time of year, I would not only like to send you warm Christmas greetings, but also look back on some of the highlights we experienced as a chapter in 2023.
One notable innovation was the relaunch of our website. The modern design and user-friendly interface make all information easier to find and thus improve communication and knowledge sharing. You are also welcome to use the newly created option of personal registration on the website.
Another highlight was the IT-GRC Congress on November 7 and 8 in Munich with over 280 participants. The many committed and valuable contributions made this event a complete success once again. There will be another IT-GRC Congress next year in cooperation with our trusted partner dpunkt.verlag. You should make a note of the date and venue for June 3 and 4, 2024 at the Empire Riverside Hotel in Hamburg.
A special milestone was the first expert group conference day on May 11 in Kronberg/Taunus. The great response among the expert group members showed how important such events are for professional and personal exchange. We are therefore planning to repeat and expand this successful format in 2024 with a conference day on September 25 and 26, 2024 in Frankfurt/Main.
Among the publications in 2023, I would like to highlight the revised "Implementation Guide ISO/IEC 27001:2022" of the Information Security Expert Group and the third publication in the ISACA book series "IT Governance: Framework and Fields of Action for Successful Management of Corporate IT".
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our head office staff, Anett Bolanz and Valentina Breise, for their tireless commitment and professionalism. They make an indispensable contribution to the smooth running of our events and the good functioning of our chapter.
Our community and the demand for our services are growing steadily and that is also thanks to you. Every single member contributes to the success of our chapter. Your volunteerism and expertise are the pillars on which our success rests.
On behalf of the entire Board, I would like to thank you for your support and commitment. We wish you and your loved ones a peaceful Christmas and a healthy, happy and successful New Year 2024. May it be a year full of successes and new insights.
