A warm welcome to the new year! We hope you have had a good start and are looking forward to the coming months full of exciting topics and opportunities.

In this newsletter, we would like to welcome our many new members, inform them about the benefits of ISACA membership and remind our long-standing members of these benefits.

We offer a wide range of training courses and events, which our members can attend free of charge or at discounted prices. The AI Governance Practitioner course is a brand new addition to our training programme. The first course ran in December and received very good feedback from participants. TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
In addition, we are expanding our continuing education offerings this year with two additional, highly topical certification preparation courses in the field of artificial intelligence: For the first time this spring, we are offering exam preparation courses for the new ISACA certifications Advanced in AI Audit™ (AAIA™) and Advanced in AI Security Management™ (AAISM™). You can find the specific dates further down in this newsletter and on our website.

In addition to the international ISACA Journal, our members also receive the IT Governance journal free of charge and have unlimited access to the online archive.

IT-GRC: CALL FOR PAPERS EXTENSION
More time for powerful ideas: The call for papers for the IT GRC Congress 2026 has been extended.

The congress will take place on 29 and 30 June 2026 in Berlin and offers a central platform for exchange on IT governance, risk & compliance and many other exciting topics. You can submit your proposals for presentations via the online form until 15 January 2026.

Speakers benefit from a free congress ticket and the opportunity to present their specialist topics to a broad professional audience. Contribute your perspectives, experiences and best practices and actively shape the programme – we look forward to receiving your proposals!
NOTIFICATION OF CPE HOURS FOR 2025, MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
Last chance: CPE reporting

At the start of the year, we would like to remind you one last time of the upcoming deadlines: You can report your CPEs for 2025 until 15 February 2026. The fees for maintaining your certifications must also be paid by this date.

Please also note that the membership fee must also be paid by 15 February at the latest in order to continue your membership without interruption.

Weinheim Regulars' Table (online event)

Our next Weinheim Regulars' Table will take place TODAY, from 5 p.m. to approx. 7.30 p.m. – this time purely virtually.

In addition to discussing testing topics, you can look forward to a practical presentation by Peter Suhling on ‘AI competence for testers, auditors and experts – learning paths, standards and certificates in the age of artificial intelligence’.

🎓 ISACA Student Summit 2026 – Event organised by ISACA Global

The ISACA Student Summit will take place on 5–6 February 2026, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (German time) each day.

Are you still studying or a recent graduate interested in a career in cyber or IT? Then don't miss the ISACA Student Summit 2026!

This virtual event is exclusively for ISACA student members and graduates and offers valuable insights and concrete guidance for your career start. Our board member Julia Hermann will be part of a panel on the first day of the event.

English-language Innovation Tech Talk Online Event

The Innovation & Tech Talk expert group invites all ISACA members and other interested parties to an English-language Tech Talk on 26 February 2026 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the following topic: Leading with AI – How Leadership Shapes Trust, Explainability, and Governance.

In this presentation, Marc Bongartz will explain why trust in AI is less of a purely technical issue and more a matter of leadership and governance.

IT Governance, IT Compliance & IT Regulatory Assurance Manager Alumni Meeting on 21 April 2026

We cordially invite all IT Compliance Manager (ITCM), IT Governance Manager (ITGM) and IT Regulatory Assurance Manager (ITRAM) certificate holders to the first alumni meeting ‘IT Governance, IT Compliance & IT Regulatory Assurance Manager’ — a joint event organised by ISACA Germany and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
The event will take place on 21 April 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bosch in Stuttgart.

European Identity and Cloud Conference (EIC) 2026

This year, we are once again the official partner of the European Identity and Cloud Conference (EIC) 2026, which will take place in Berlin from 19 to 22 May 2026. As one of Europe's leading conferences on digital identity, security, data protection and governance, the EIC brings together over 1,500 participants, around 300 speakers and more than 230 sessions.

You can look forward to a varied programme covering topics such as identity fabrics, zero trust, AI governance, digital trust frameworks, ITDR and decentralised identity.
