REVIEW OF THE SPECIALIST GROUP CONFERENCE DAYS 2024
|
|
|
On 25 and 26 September 2024, the specialist group conference days took place exclusively for the members of our 15 specialist groups of the ISACA Germany Chapter in Frankfurt am Main. Around 100 participants from our specialist groups came together at the KfW premises to exchange knowledge, network and discuss the latest developments in the world of IT security.
Day 1 began with the ceremonial opening by Matthias Kraft, the Board Member for Specialist Groups. This was followed by the words of the President, Dr Tim Sattler, who emphasized the importance of the work of the specialist groups and the strength of the ISACA community. Corinna Kulp then presented our active network ‘She@ISACA’, which focuses on promoting exchange and collaboration among women in IT and information security.
A special highlight of the day was the keynote speech by Alexander Rühle with the provocative title ‘Professionals don't play!’. Rühle's presentation encouraged reflection on professionalism and the creative use of playful elements in everyday working life.
After a lively networking session and an impressive magic show by Simon Enderle, the evening was spent on the water: at an evening event on the River Main, participants enjoyed the opportunity to continue their dialogue in a relaxed atmosphere.
Day 2 started with an inspiring keynote speech by Anne Hofmann, who explored the topic of ‘Your body is your brain’ and the connection between physical and mental performance. Another highlight of the day was the introduction to the ISACA Digital Trust Ecosystem Framework (DTEF) by Dr Tim Sattler, which offered exciting new perspectives on digital trust architecture.
Matthias Kraft's closing remarks rounded off the conference days, before the specialist group leaders' meeting took place as the grand finale.
All in all, the 2024 Expert Group Conference Days were a unique opportunity to share knowledge, make new contacts and look to the future of IT and security topics together. We would like to thank all participants and are already looking forward to the next event - because as always, after the conference is before the conference!
