| | Once a year, the ISACA Germany Chapter awards a prize to the best academic thesis dealing with IT governance, information security, IT risk management or related topics. Technical aspects (e.g. IT security) are not in the focus.
Master's and bachelor's theses written in the current or previous calendar year at a German-speaking university can be submitted. The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2023.
The award will be presented at the IT-GRC Congress 2023 on November 7 and 8, 2023 in Munich.

| | | Implementation Guide ISO/IEC 27001:2022
The team of authors from the Information Security Specialist Group has revised the ISO/IEC Standard 27001 Implementation Guide produced in 2016.
The updated ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Implementation Guide contains practical recommendations and guidance for organizations that are either already operating an ISMS in accordance with the international ISO/IEC 27001 standard or wish to establish one, regardless of existing certifications or those they may be seeking. The guide provides pragmatic support and advice to all stakeholders involved in setting up and/or operating an ISMS. The advantages of an ISMS that is customized to organizational needs, but at the same time standard-compliant, are highlighted. In particular, practical recommendations for establishing or increasing the maturity level of existing ISMS processes as well as typical examples of implementing various requirements are presented.

| | Innovation & Tech Talk Online Event
The specialist groups Innovation & Tech Talk and Cyber Security invite all members and interested parties to the Tech Talk on 23 June 2023 from 2 pm to 3 pm (CEST) on the following topic: Quantum computing and its impact on IT security.
In this talk, Prof. Dr. Bettina Just, Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM), will go into more detail about quantum computing in the context of IT security.

| | | Regional ISACA Regulars' Table
Our next regulars' table will take place on 28 June 2023, starting at 5 pm in Weinheim, at the premises of suhling management consulting (Hauptstraße 128, 69469 Weinheim). The maximum number of participants is limited to 10. After the presentation by Mr. Peter Suhling on the topic of "Occupational health and safety compliance - risks and opportunities", you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas among yourselves on audit topics and to round off the evening in a nearby pub. You will receive 1 CPE for attending.
Another regulars' table will take place on July 13, 2023, starting at 6 p.m. in Frankfurt am Main, at the ALEX Frankfurt Skyline Plaza. The aim of the regulars' table is a general exchange of expertise - focusing on issues that are currently affecting the round in the respective companies - as well as stronger networking among the members.

| | | Focus Event on 6 July 2023 (hybrid event)
The ISACA Germany Chapter invites you to a joint focus event with Deutsche Telekom on 6 July 2023 from 18:00 to 20:00. The event will take place at the headquarters of Deutsche Telekom AG in Bonn. Online participation is also possible.
