Dear All,
on 23 and 24 January 2026, the Executive Board met for a strategy meeting in Frankfurt am Main. During two intensive days, key topics, strategic decisions and the next steps for the association's future work were discussed and advanced. In addition to the executive board, our office manager Anett Bolanz and Corinna Kulp and Sarah Richter, who currently provide operational support to the Communications & Marketing and Specialist Groups departments, were also in attendance. Unfortunately, our board member for Communications & Marketing, Julia Hermann, was unable to attend the meeting due to scheduling conflicts.
Another meeting will be held in Frankfurt am Main on 11 May 2026 to further explore the topics discussed and jointly advance the next steps.
We will present the results of the strategy meetings at the next general meeting, which will take place on 29 June 2026 as part of the IT-GRC Congress in Berlin. |

| | New podcast episode: Practical IT training with Markus Gaulke In the latest episode of the Security Insider podcasts, Markus Gaulke, our interim president and vice president for education, talks about practical ways to gain continuous qualifications in the IT industry.
Markus explains why lifelong learning is more important than ever today, how practical training programmes can be designed, and how established frameworks such as COBIT and ISO 27000 contribute to this — particularly in terms of structuring complex specifications and implementing regulatory requirements. He also highlights the structure of our training pyramid and the cooperation between professional practice and the academic environment.
It's worth listening to for anyone who wants to think strategically about their continuing education!
Please note: This is a German-language podcast. |
